Support Applied Science

Biomedical

As we look to the future, we see a number of priorities requiring support for Biomedical Engineering to realize the goal of becoming Canada’s pre-eminent training program for future biomedical engineers. As the program sets forth to put our students in scrubs and ‘on the ground’ in research hospitals, partnerships are critically important. Please consider supporting Biomedical Engineering in the following priority areas:

Scholarships and stipends

Enhance our commitment to financial aid, enabling UBC Biomedical Engineering to become competitive with other universities and attract the best and brightest students to our program.

In-hospital lounges

Provide a room in the UBC and Vancouver General hospitals where Biomedical Engineering students can study, relax, socialize and develop a sense of community.

Travel funding

Enable all Biomedical Engineering students to travel to the annual medical device exposition to view first-hand the latest advances in medical technology.

Preceptorships and internships

Ensure our students gain real-world experience working on short-term projects for medical device companies and health care providers.
