The education of engineers at UBC dates back to 1915, when the Faculty of Applied Science was one of the university’s original three faculties. UBC’s Point Grey campus in Vancouver is the only university in BC where all 11 engineering disciplines are taught and studied. When the UBC Okanagan School of Engineering received full accreditation and graduated its first cohort in 2010, the Faculty of Applied Science became UBC’s only dual-campus Faculty.
Today, more than 4,500 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students are enrolled in UBC Engineering. Our students, faculty and researchers are innovative thinkers focused solving problems to change our world for the better.
